tesco enthusiast (not really)
I have an obsession with the smoothies at Tesco. I don’t know what it is. I had my first one a few weeks ago, and it was so hydrating and refreshing and filling - and it’s just fruit. I know its just fruit sugars. But they are the most delicious fruit sugars I can drink.
I like the Mango Passion one the best - I think it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness for me as well?
I apologize for what will likely be another post that is not very profound or reflective.
This is a list of things I’ve been cherishing and enjoying a lot lately:
Drinks: Tesco Mango Passion Smoothies and Chickpea Salad (just a good way to get a lot of nutrients and I can bring to work with me so easily!)
Mike’s Mic - I love his twitter and his instagram and his YOUTUBE! Genuinely such comfort for me because HE IS FUNNY. Watch the robots video. Watch the glee recap. I’m putting off watching Lost because he is making recap videos.
Jury Duty - I really loved this show? It was well done and so hilarious - but also like I could not handle being Truman showed like this. I’ve also really enjoyed seeing all the content about it after the fact (tiktok’s, james marsden interviews, you name it)
The Northman - watched this yesterday in the middle of a very silly triple feature of films. Alexander Skarsgard worked in this movie. I loved doing a bunch of research and learning more about the details of making this movie as well as learning more about the actual sagas. Visually this movie was just cool okay?! Maybe not as cool as Step Up 2: The Streets…
NordVPN. Let’s just address the elephant in the room - I live in Ireland and have no way of watching some silly programs without it. So yeah - I love my VPN, and I’m not afraid to say it.
Hoopla - I've been doing so much of my reading off of hoopla lately. Also - movies and TV are ON HOOPLA. So thank goodness for that. I watched The Windemere Children and then literally read three Annabeth Albert books on Hoopla- among other things.
Goodreads giveaways. I’ve actually won a few - which makes it feel rewarding that I entered so many so consistently (hahaha). Follow along with my reading here if you want. Or don’t.
Oat Flat whites - this is my coffee order almost everywhere in Ireland. At work, I make a lot, but I don’t really have one myself. This makes the days I get them (Flat White Wednesday anyone?) feel even more special. Hell yes.
(this is a lot more fun I think if i’m able to come up with a solid 10… so that’s what i’ll try to do now)
Challenges on game shows - specifically team challenges - I’ve been watching an exceptional amount of clips of challenges from Survivor and even the Biggest Loser. I just love a competition and I love the teamwork that happens in a lot of them.
Hey, Cool Life! This is a podcast by Mary H.K. Choi - and I recently listened to her most recent episode. I sort of go through phases of listening to podcasts, music, audiobooks, etc. and this is one that reenters my listening schedule quite infrequently. I still enjoy it a lot, and they are short and simple but still profound enough to make me think. All we can ask for sometimes.
This wasn’t even intended to give you more things to consume, but it was a nice exercise in reflecting on how I’ve been spending my time and money I guess. Took me a little long though.
Honorable mention - clementines (or satsumas?) whatever… just cherish a little vitamin C today if you want, because I’ve been cherishing it a lot.
Should I find some prompts to work off of? I think to some extent I would benefit from that - but I also know that it’s fun to just write about what I’m thinking about.
Anyway, hope you have a cool day!
