Prior to this year, I had not ate a lot of cereal since high school. Yeah I ate oatmeal for like 2 meals a day for a semester in college but that’s not the same!
I think everyone should love cereal with bananas. Any kind of cereal honestly, but like a honey bunches of oats or a frosted flakes situation.
I’m contemplating a more delicious treat, but I cannot think of one at the moment. Granted I’m writing this while eating my delicious cereal with bananas. The cereal is a little stale - but I wish that mattered? Like it’s soaking up the oat milk. So that doesn’t matter.
I don’t feel very competent as an adult because I’m not great about putting together meals - but literally slicing a banana into some cereal feels so adult!
All I’ve been eating lately is cereal with bananas and pasta salad. Also chickpea salad. But you already knew that.
They don’t even necessarily feel like comfort meals - just meals I’ve been making some effort to actually make lately. These aren’t comfort meals - they’re just the meals I eat.
Short post about a low-effort meal.

thanks for sharing shannon, i completely agree… cereal with banana is a top tier breakfast. might i suggest it for dinner one night? it gives you a lot to look forward too. although not if breakfast for dinner isn’t your thing. yesterday i ran out of cereal so today i couldn’t have that for breakfast. instead i had a pbj wrap because i also don’t have bread. i still have one left over banana but yesterday i ate three bananas so i decided i should skip a day.
